Smart town at the North-eastern edge of Singapore

The Punggol Point District is slated to be developed as a smart and green town that pays homage to its heritage as previous farmland. The area will also have a new heritage trail along Old Punggol road that used to be the main transportation route for farmers and fishermen transporting their products between Punggol and Serangoon. The trail will also connect to the MyWaterway@Punggol to Punggol Jetty seamlessly.

The 2 seafront projects are Punggol Point Cove and Punggol Point Woods. The former will have 1,172 units and the latter, 940 units. Also planned for a 2023 opening is the Punggol Coast MRT station which will sit right next to these new flats.

Transport connections planned to link the new town to amenities

Concerns about connectivity can be put aside as the Housing Development Board (HDB) has promised public and private transportation access to dining, retail and recreational facilities. Cycling and walking within the area will also be made a breeze plus buses and on-demand shuttle buses in the works.

With the addition of these 2 new districts, HDB is moving towards their transformation of the Punggol area.
