In the first sales exercise of 2019, the Housing Board (HDB) has launched 3,739 HDB flats in both mature and non-mature HDB estates.
3,739 BTO and ROF flats in first HDB sales launch of the year
This launch exercise includes 3,162 Build-to-order (BTO) units and 577 Re-offer of Balance Flats (ROF) units.

The 855 flats in Kallang/Whampoa are expected to be most popular with applicants due to their proximity to the Central Business District (CBD).
There are 2 projects made available for application in this district: 411 units at Kallang Breeze and 444 units at Towner Crest.

The former is near the Kallang MRT station and Kallang River while the latter is near the Boon Keng MRT station.
The launch prices of units in Kallang/Whampoa are however only 7.4% lower than the average price of resale flats in the vicinity. A new 4-room flat here is priced from $598,000 on average.
The 1,374 units in Jurong West, however, are 33% cheaper than the resale units in the same area. Prices of units here start from $257,000 and analysts expect a good amount of interest for them due to their proximity to the Pioneer and Boon Lay MRT stations.

Though the 933 HDB flats in Sengkang are not located near any MRT station, a fair amount of interest is expected.
Sengkang is one of the few non-mature estates which saw an increase in resale value of 4-room and 5-room HDB units last year. The new units launched are near the Thanggam LRT station and The Seletar Mall.
Besides Boon Lay Glade, Fernvale Vines is one of the only other projects to offer 3-Generation flats in this current launch. Applications close on Monday. A total of 15,000 HDB flats are expected to be launched this year.
The next BTO launch will be in May and will include flats in Kallang/Whampoa, Tengah and Woodlands.
