Congratulations to the Winner of iProperty.com’s “My Dream Home” Contest!

iProperty.com congratulates the lucky winner of the iProperty.com “My Dream Home” contest, Jon Cheong from Singapore, who walked away with a brand new Apple iPod Touch!

Cheong, a regional sales personnel from the watch industry, often uses the iProperty.com website when searching for apartment units to buy. The first time home buyer is married with no children and plans to acquire an apartment before starting a family. He praises the website for its detailed information, ease of use and speed.

“The iProperty.com website gives me detailed information on an extensive list of properties for sale from just a click of the mouse”, said Cheong. According to him, the in-depth information, coupled with multiple photos depicting the properties for sale, and the slew of useful tools such as mortgage calculators and property email alerts, help him make well-informed decisions and snag his dream home. The website gives him the opportunity to choose from the comfort of his home before whittling the list down to the properties he might want to view.

Cheong was a participant of iProperty.com’s “My Dream Home” contest, held in Singapore and Malaysia from mid March to end June. The online contest had contestants from both countries revealing what their dream home would be, including type of home and location.

Results from the contest revealed that Bukit Timah and Orchard are the top two areas to live in, with East Coast and Tanjung Rhu following closely behind while District 10 was voted the favourite district. Singaporeans also voted City Developments Ltd (CDL) and Far East Organisation as their two favourite developers.

And if money is not an objection, Singapore’s dream home would be a landed property, with private apartment coming in a close second. Now, if only money was not an issue.

As for Malaysia, results highlight Mont Kiara as the best neighbourhood with S P Setia and YTL Corporation as the two favourite developers. The Malaysian dream home would be the semidee or bungalow.
