At the Heart of Perth – The Towers at Elizabeth Quay

The Towers
An appealing investment option in Perth
Propelling Perth’s gradual move out of the doldrums is significant government investment in several projects that will inject life into the economy and renew interest in the city. Perhaps most significant is Elizabeth Quay, a AUD 440 million mixed-use precinct that links the iconic Swan River to Perth’s CBD. Comprising apartments, hotels, offices and retail spaces, the development of this quay also included the creation of a river inlet around which more waterfront developments could be located. Elizabeth Quay represents a new era of premium waterfront living and entertainment for the city.
Located within the quay is The Towers, a soon-to-be-built property that will comprise 143 available luxury apartments and a 204-room Ritz Carlton hotel rising to lofty heights of more than 20 storeys and overlooking the stunning vista of Swan River. This highly anticipated project is the brainchild of Far East Consortium, which, since its entry into Australia in the mid 1990s, has built up an impressive portfolio of successful projects that add up to more than AUD 2 billion dollars. The Tower also marks the return of the renowned Ritz Carlton hotel chain to Australian shores after an absence of more than a decade.
Designed with its quayside surroundings in mind, the residential towers will be built to maximise access to the waterfront view, and become a landmark addition to Perth’s cityscape. The former will be achieved by the buildings’ curved forms, while the tinted glass facades will respond to the changing daylight and the sun’s varying angles to appear more yellow or rose gold, creating the illusion of glittering gems in the sky.
Inside, the apartments will be a perfect melding of indoor and outdoor living. Winter gardens with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and adjustable windows are designed to be a natural extension of the living area, and will bring a touch of nature – so commonly devoid in apartment living – to every home. Each unit will come equipped with Siemens and Gaggenau appliances and boast balconies with large motorised awning sashes that protect the interiors from strong winds.
Potential buyers have a choice of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments as well as penthouses. The penthouses will come with further options of one, two or three-level units. The last two will be furnished with internal lifts that connect the different levels.
Elizabeth Quay is poised to become Perth’s next entertainment, cultural and luxury retail hub with a slew of international brands, restaurants, galleries planned. For an escape from the urban hubbub, it is also nestled between Kings Park and Stirling Gardens, as well as a stone’s throw from Swan River. As one of the latest and most promising developments within this precinct, The Towers is poised to become Perth’s next “it” development for any discerning property investor.
