5 so-extra home wares we’re loving right now

Let’s be real, none of us really need any of these things, but we sure want to add them to our shopping carts, stat.

There’s nothing quite like kicking back and having a soak in the tub… but you can’t deny your bubble bath could’ve been better with a caddy, complete with a book stand and holder for your wine glass.

The homewares below put the ‘extra’ in extravagance and are here to make your days infinitely better… or at least, a bit more Instagram worthy.

1. Agate coasters from Neue Blvd

These lavish-looking coasters are sliced carefully from crystal before they’re polished and finished with a gold or rose-gold edge.

Sure, they’re positioned on the pricier end of the spectrum (a set of four cork coasters will set you back $2.00 at Ikea) but if you’re looking for a way to add a touch of luxe at your next dinner party, these may be perfect.

Available in a range of stones in different colours, each piece has unique imperfections and will no doubt become a talking piece at your next ‘do.

2. Bamboo bath caddy from Kmart

It’s a relaxation station like no other. This gem from retail giant Kmart has been super popular with the countless Facebook accounts that are dedicated to praising the brand – and we can see why.

It’s made from environmentally friendly bamboo, has a reasonable price tag and houses a spot for your favourite book, a glass of wine and basically everything that takes a bath from good to great.

3. Vino wine rack from Bendo

This angular piece, designed by Bendo, doubles as a sculptural embellishment for your home and comes in a range of bright colours to suit any abode’s aesthetic.

The quirky, wire framework can hold up to three wine bottles, and its compact size means it can comfortably sit on top of a kitchen counter.

4. Ghost sculpture from Studio Arhoj

No one needs a teeny-tiny clay sculpture of a spooky ghost, but we feel like we’ve never needed something more.

The ghouls, designed and handmade in the Arhoj studio in Copenhagen, each showcase a sense of individuality thanks to the different colours, patterns, and sizes.

Use the kooky, spooky sculpture as a paperweight, a home for your rings or just as a sweet little decoration.

5. Kate Spade stapler from Amara

Because nothing says ‘extra’ quite like designer stationery. It may seem over the top, but compared to a ruler from Tiffany and Co. which comes in at an eye-watering $745, these Kate Spade desk staples (get it?) with luxe gold accents are a relative steal.

Anyone who’s looking for consistency in their workspace will be pleased to hear a tape dispenser, pencil holder and notes holder also make up the set – and are as functional as they are beautiful.
