The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) launched the industrial site at Ubi Road 1 for sale by public tender today.

This is one of the two industrial sites to be launched for tender under the Confirmed List of the 1st half 2010 Government Industrial Land Sale Programme, as announced by the Ministry of Trade and Industry on 30 December 2009.

The land parcel at Ubi Road 1 has a site area of about 3.5 ha and is launched for sale for Business 1 development with a maximum permissible gross plot ratio of 2.5 and a lease period of 60 years.

Under the Business 1 zoning, the site can be developed for various uses such as clean and light industries such as industries related to computer software development, printing/publishing, assembly and repair of computer hardware and electronic equipment.

A tender period of 8 weeks will be allowed for the site. The tender will close at 12 noon on 11 August 2010.
