Strongly demonstrating the red-hot demand for new HDB flats, the recently-launched 2 Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in Punggol attracted a total of 8,967 applications for the combined total of 1,429 flats.

This works out to about six applications for each unit. The most popular flat type was the four-room flats which saw 4,648 applications for the total of 609 units. Five-room flats registered 2,810 applications for 431 units.
