Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan will make a working visit to Hong Kong SAR from 30 March to 1 April 2010, accompanied by officials from the ministry.

During the visit, Minister Mah will meet senior officials from the Transport and Housing Bureau, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, and the Estate Agents Authority, to learn more about their experiences in regulating the real estate agents industry. The Ministry of National Development has earlier announced plans to put in place a new framework to strengthen the regulation of the real estate agency industry. Details of the new framework will be announced within the next few months.

Minister Mah will also take the opportunity to update himself on public housing and other developments in Hong Kong.
