According to the Straits Times today, a four-room HDB flat in Bain Street was reportedly sold for $650,000. The high price set a new record for HDB resale prices.

The buyers were a Taiwanese couple who paid $70,000 above valuation for the 30-year-old flat. The flat is located on the twenty-fifth floor of the block above Bras Basah Complex, a centrally-located retail complex in the City Hall area.

The buyers revealed that they were willing to pay such a high price because it is located near where they work. They also liked the interior décor and the views the flat offers.
